Whenever I board a plane I intend to still be in it when it safely lands. If jumping out of a plane with a parachute interests you then Ramblers is a good place to go. Ramblers is a skydiving organisation, offering skydiving, parachuting and tandem skydiving.
The Ramblers Parachute Drop Zone at Toogoolawah was built in 1979 by Australian skydiving legend Dave McEvoy. Dave is still the Chief Instructor, and McEvoy family instructors include daughter Susie and nephew Junior.
Ramblers cater for all levels of skyjumping experience, from the first time jumping by tandem, skydiving training, and a jumping community and experienced instructional team to help further develop skills for experienced jumpers.
Accommodation is available on site, starting with free camping for the first 3 nights for jumpers. Powered camp sites, caravans, motel rooms, and cabins are other options available.
Children are welcome with things to do while adults are skydiving, including ride bikes, play on swings, watch videos, swim in the pool, and watch the parachutes coming down to the drop zone.
If you would like a more coastal scenery, Skydiving Sunshine Coast is another option.
