If you have seen parachutes coming down over Caloundra, they are likely to be from Skydiving Sunshine Coast. Skydive over the Sunshine Coast with the best view over the ocean and coastline from 14,000 feet (over 4.2 kilometres), landing on Currimundi Beach.
The journey starts away from the beach in Caloundra West, opposite the Queensland Air Museum, and conveniently, the Caloundra Aerodrome. There is a small park next to the aerodrome with a toilet and picnic tables where you can watch your family or friends board the plane.
While the plane takes off to climb ready for the the jump, you can head to Currimundi Beach to watch them descend and land on the beach.
Looking for something away from the coast? You can try Ramblers at the Ramblers Parachute Drop Zone at Toogoolawah, north of Esk.
