The Big Wine Bottle is on the back of a vintage truck at the Daly Waters Historic Pub in Northern Territory.
The Daly Waters Pub is an iconic pub built in 1930 in the Northern Territory. It has had an interesting past with murders and threats of being destroyed by station owners.
This visit wasn’t the first time we called into the Daly Waters Pub. We were here for Foxtrot Papa in 1994 and again for Foxtrot Papa in 2006 for a Black and White Night. Foxtrot Papa was a charity organisation we were involved in taking wheelies through outback Australia by 4wd convoy, first done by the Toyota Land Cruiser Club.
Daly Waters Pub has powered and unpowered camping sites to stay. If you want something more comfortable there are cabins and rooms available to stay in.
To get there:
Daly Waters is along the Stuart Hwy north of Tennant Creek and south of Katherine in the Northern Territory. From the highway, turn into Daly Waters at the sign for the town. The Daly Waters Pub is about 4km from the highway.
