Rex Lookout is situated north of the coastal town of Wangetti just off the Captain Cook Highway between Palm Cove and Port Douglas. Rex Lookout provides a beautiful view of the Coral Sea and the stretch of Wangetti Beach. The Lookout was established in honour of a local Douglas Shire councillor Raymond Rex.
The Rex Lookout is along the Great Barrier Reef Tourist Drive 
, a drive starting near Cairns and finishing at Cape Tribulation.
To Get There
From Palm Cove Tourist Information Centre, head north on Williams Esp and take the first left into Cedar Rd. Follow Cedar Rd for 900m and turn right into Warren St, then follow to the end to Captain Cook Hwy. Turn right on Captain Cook Hwy heading north and follow for 17.4km with a parking area on the left after the brown sign for Rex Lookout.
