Paradise Dam Tourist Drive is an off-road drive through Good Night Scrub National Park next to Paradise Dam.
The 46km tourist drive starts at the northern end of the Good Night Scrub National Park and heads south to the wall of Paradise Dam. It then either returns back the same way or comes back via a narrow one-lane 4wd track.
Part of the drive is accessible to 2WD vehicles but you won’t be able to drive the whole tourist drive as some tracks become narrow and uneven.
One Tree Hill Lookout is a track up to the lookout that is an offshoot from the main drive along the 2WD section. The track up to the lookout, however, is 4WD only and restricted to dry conditions.
The track up to One Tree Hill isn’t difficult, with a moderately steep part with washed out ruts at its worst. Overall, it is an easy track for anyone with off-road experience.
The rest of the drive is fine for 2wd vehicles up until a picnic table area looking over the bottom of the Paradise Dam wall. You can continue further than here, however, there isn’t much to look at before you reach the point you shouldn’t continue without a 4WD vehicle.
