The Pacific Motorway bypass opened in 2020, but the old highway had already skipped passed the village of Newrybar before then. Newrybar is known for its historical bakery, owned by Harvest which is also an award-winning restaurant. The town has a general store and other shops with homewares and lifestyle pieces from local artists to lazily wander around.
Following the Hinterland Tourist Drive 28 and the brown sign for the Historical Bakery drew me into Newrybar, finding a brown sign for Newrybar itself and enjoyed the town’s charm and relaxed feel. I stopped at Killen Falls on the way, and the bakery was a good stop for a coffee and refuel with a couple of pastry treats.
There are several accommodation options near and around Newrybar on Booking.com or via Expedia.com.au.
