South-west of Adelaide, the Mark Oliphant Conservation Park has trails with a range of landscapes to experience.
Walking Trails
Candlebark Trail (250m, 10 min)
A smooth flat trail to the shelter and picnic area near a stand of mighty candlebark gum trees. Well suited for families with young children and for mobility impaired visitors (may require assistance).
Skink Trail loop (3km, 45 min)
A gentle loop trail with some steep and uneven sections. Enjoy the grand stringybark gum trees and vibrant understorey plants along the way.
Bandicoot Trail loop (4.5km, 1.5 hrs)
A meandering trail that takes in many of the different environments in the Park. Take care on Evans Drive and in steep or slippery sections.
Heath Trail loop (2km, 1 hr)
An adventurous loop trail with uneven footing and spectacular scenery. In Winter months, you might even see the ephemeral waterfall.
